Katt Williams is being honored in his hometown of Cincinnati with a street renaming in his childhood neighborhood.
Jan Michelle Lemon Kearney, the Vice-Mayor of Cincinnati, announced that a ceremony would take place on Saturday (April 19) for the street sign unveiling.
Kearney and other local officials, like Avondale Community Council President Sandra Jones Mitchell, paid tribute to Williams at the event.A woman who accused Jay-Z and Sean "Diddy" Combs of raping her in 2000 when she was 13 has dismissed her civil lawsuit against the hip-hop moguls.
A filing in federal court in Manhattan said the plaintiff, referred to as Jane Doe, voluntarily dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning she cannot bring it again. “We are so proud to honor Katt Williams today—not just for his talent, but for the way he continues to represent Avondale and Cincinnati wherever he goes,” Kearney said.
Fellow comedians Mo’Nique, Tommy Davidson, Mark Curry, and Redd Grant were also present.
